The Committee set a goal of preserving the beach and improving it for community use. We discussed how people use the beach, the physical changes to the beach over the past decade, improvements we might like to make and how much these improvements would cost. We discussed four possible solutions to the erosion problem.

The Committee decided to hold a community meeting to get input on these issues from Tolchester residents. This could be a dinner with a Beach Presentation and Brainstorming or Voting. We also considered mailing a survey or setting up a website.

John Wilson will look into setting up a web page.

Barbara Harriman will get property owner mailing list. She will also look into transfer tax.

Virginia Kearns will look into having a raffle or silent auction to raise funds.

Sue Brown will check with Kent Planning about subdividing a lot from a Road for sale.

Trisha Sawicki will prepare plans of four options for erosion control and cost estimates.

The Committee will meet again in two weeks on August 4 at 9am.
